What are people doing (personally) to save money in this economy?

I started reading the paper online. I went from $25.00 every 4 weeks to $0.00.

I have not paid for a newspaper in 8 years. I also take my lunch to work. Other things include doing only full loads of laundry and invested in front loading washer/dryer, not loading up on groceries once a week, but going three times or more just to get what we need saves me 40.00 or more a week. If you are only shopping for what you need and have a list and stick to it, it's easy to avoid the spending traps that grocery stores set for you.

I have my ink cartridges refilled. We also had the house phone disconnected that we were using for a fax machine that we used as a fax machine once or twice a year...since we have cell phones, smart phones and email.

I also stay out of Barnes & Noble the store and shop (BN) online for even bigger discounts.
